Every year, March 21 is celebrated as the International Day of Forests. The theme of this year was: "Forests and Biodiversity".

On this day, the member countries plan various activities to raise awareness on the conservation and sustainable management of forests found across the globe.
The world is losing areas of forests as large as the size of England each year. The effects of climate change due to global warming are loud and clear.
